Underground Writers

Underground Writers is a not for profit organisation that supports emerging writers in Australia. Their monthly newsletter advertises Australian-based writing opportunities for emerging writers. These include open fiction or non-fiction markets in Australia, writing competitions, and writers festivals.

They also publish their own creative writing zine, Underground. Underground is a paying market that looks for themed work. Read their submission guidelines here.

Freedom With Writing

Freedom With Writing is a newsletter that advertises freelance writing opportunities. Once you subscribe to Freedom With Writing, it’s easy to subscribe to other lists such as Authors Publish, which focuses on more literary markets. You can expect an email from them at least once a week if not daily.

Flash Fiction Flash Newsletter

Flash Fiction Newsletter is a monthly newsletter that advertises flash fiction writing opportunities around the world. It advertises open paying and non-paying markets in flash fiction as well as writing contests. The newsletter contains detailed entries on each market, including a link to a website, the existence of an entry fee and a summary of what kind of piece the market is looking for.
